MAID

MAID is a feature film by Norwegian writer/director Anna Freddrike Bjerke. It was shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe Award and is currently in development. 

MAID is a slow-burning psychological thriller that follows Berenice, a maidservant in a Victorian household, who is unwilling to accept the unjust status quo. She embarks upon an affair with her employer’s daughter, consequently unleashing unforeseen forces of jealousy and lust, which she manipulates to rise above her station in life.
